Nikita Home Furnishings is Established

Company registered and studio opened at Govind Nagar West, Jaipur. Initial production focused on kantha bedcovers, quilts, throws, and block-printed bedsheets.

The founder, Joy Kumar Maheshwari, brings deep roots in the Rajasthani textile trade and an uncompromising standard from the first day of production. First domestic trade enquiries received within weeks of opening.

Our Story

Nikita Home Furnishings was not born in a boardroom. It was born in the knowledge that Jaipur — our city, our home — sits at the centre of one of the world's great craft traditions, and that tradition deserved a modern guardian.

Established in 2006, we started as a manufacturer with a singular focus: to make home furnishings and textiles that carried the full weight of Indian craft without apology. Kantha quilting. Hand block printing. Ajrakh dyeing. Bagru printing. These were not just techniques to us — they were inheritances from generations of Rajasthani artisans whose skill was in danger of being replaced by machines that could never truly imitate them.

What began in a small studio grew steadily, guided not by trends but by trust — the trust of buyers across thirty countries who kept returning because they knew that what they had found in Nikita was something the market rarely offered: genuine craft at a scale that could deliver it reliably, beautifully, every time.

Today, Nikita Home Furnishings spans a full world of artisan textile living — from the bedroom to the dining table, from the wardrobe to the travel bag. But the soul of it has never changed. Every piece still begins with a skilled artisan. Every piece still carries the mark of Jaipur.

Why Homes Across, The World Choose Nikita

Artisan-Made, Always

Every piece is made using traditional Indian craft techniques: Kantha stitching, hand block printing, Ajrakh and Bagru dyeing. These are not inspired by craft; they are craft.

Direct from Jaipur

We manufacture in-house. When you buy from Nikita, you are buying directly from the people who made it: no margins lost to middlemen, no story diluted by distance.

Made for You

Every print, every palette, every size can be customised. Screen printing, hand block, indigo — our studio accommodates bespoke orders for boutiques and home-owners alike.

Home & Wardrobe, Together

From kantha quilts and cotton bedsheets to quilted jackets and kaftans — Nikita's collections dress both your home and your life in the same considered aesthetic.

Fabrics That Last

We source only the finest cotton, silk, and velvet. Every fabric is tested for comfort, longevity, and colour-fastness before a single print touches its surface.

A Name That Keeps Its Promise

18 years in business. Thousands of satisfied buyers worldwide. Our reputation is built one beautifully made piece at a time — and we intend to keep it that way.

Brand Legacy

Eighteen years is not a long time in the context of Indian craft – but it is long enough to know your own standards. At Nikita, our legacy is a quiet one: built order by order, relationship by relationship, stitch by stitch. We are known in the markets that matter for reliability, for beauty, and for the kind of quality that does not require a conversation – because the product speaks immediately for itself.

Our address in Govind Nagar, Jaipur, is the same as it has always been. The artisan families we work with are the same ones who opened our first samples. This continuity is not incidental – it is the backbone of everything we make.

Quality Promise

We do not compromise on materials. The cotton we choose is selected for thread count, breathability, and dye absorption. The silk in our kantha quilts is sourced for its lustre and drape. The velvet in our bags is tested for softness before a single zipper is attached.

Every finished piece passes through hands that know exactly what it should feel and look like. There are no shortcuts in this process – not because shortcuts don't exist, but because we made a promise a long time ago that Nikita would never take them. If it leaves our studio, it is right. That is our commitment to you.

Why Customers Trust Us

We say what we make, and make what we say

Hand block printed means hand block printed. Kantha stitched means kantha stitched. No approximations, no marketing language that overstates. What is on the label is in your hands.

Direct manufacturer — no hidden layers

Buying directly from the maker means you understand exactly where your piece came from, who made it, and why it costs what it costs. There is nothing to hide here — and we prefer it that way.

Post purchase, we're still here

Our relationship with customers doesn't end at the checkout. Questions about care, customisation for a next order, or advice on how to style a piece — we are available, always.
